Ashley (MAT - Masters in Teaching & C-SLDI Certified Structured Literacy/ Dyslexia Interventionist), wants your child to be able to pick up a book for the love of reading and feel confident in doing so. She also wants your child to feel confident when they pick up a pencil and share their amazing thoughts through their writing. Offering private sessions in the convenience of your home or in your child's school, Ashley works on improving your child's phonological awareness skills that build foundations for oral reading fluency, spelling, writing, and comprehension. Sessions include a multi-sensory based learning approach. Visual, auditory, and kinesthetic portions are included in each lesson.

The primary goal of these sessions is to have fun and expose your child to learning foundational skills through play and multi-sensory activities. Focus areas include number recognition, counting skills, letter recognition, letter sounds, interactive read aloud skills, phonological awareness, high frequency word development, name writing, shape and color recognition, fine motor skills, and more. Each session concludes with an overview of our session for parents as well as fun at home ideas!

Your young child will get a chance to have individualized exposure to foundational skills through play. Activities include read alouds, songs, poetry, hands-on games, rhyming, working with tools like blocks, sand, doh, yarn, and more!
